Antenatal Massage
Pregnancy is a wonderful time for expectant parents and is a very precious time in a Woman’s life. It can also be a time of aches and pains as the body adapts to the growing baby. It can be overwhelming and occasionally stressful. No pregnancy is the same. We offer each mother to be assistance with relief, relaxation and muscular/joint ease with accredited Antenatal Massage.

Each massage is tailored to you; supported, warm and comfortable. Massage therapy can start as early as the first trimester, meeting with you at the early stages allows the therapist to understand your individual needs and support you through he weeks leading to birth. This is done by discussing a plan from the outset, taking notes of past medical conditions and concerns you may have, and note instructions from your midwife or General Practitioner. A qualified Antenatal massage therapist can bring a rounded and complementary approach to your pregnancy.

Each trimester has differing needs:
1st  Trimester: Each woman will be experiencing the hormonal changes. There are often feelings of excitement, fear, and tiredness.
2nd Trimester: As your body changes, your centre of gravity and posture changes as well. Muscles and joints may start to ache. You may have trouble becoming comfortable at night.
3rd Trimester: The last few weeks of pregnancy. The body has changed and is preparing for that special moment. Massage at this time can enable relaxation and ease from concerns knowing that you have therapy support. As pregnancy progresses massage can ease those aches and pains and allow you comfort.
