Dan Boyd Joins Banbury Physiotherapy

We are delighted to announce that Dan Boyd is joining the practice in September 2023.Dan will be offering MSK Physiotherapy appointments, Diagnostic Ultrasonography for MSK Pathology and corticosteroid injections. Please do read his bio below.

Dan Boyd started out completing a Sport and Exercise Science degree, progressing directly into an MSc in Physiotherapy in 2007. After graduating he began work in professional football with Colchester United and at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) specialising within the ‘Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health’ (ISEH) and onwards to a clinical lead position at Chelsea and Westminster NHS trust progressing through specialist MSK rotations to be a Highly Specialist MSK Physiotherapist. As well as holding a part-time position with Tottenham Hotspur F.C. 

Following his time in the NHS and professional football – Dan has worked at London’s leading private practices and within the UCI World tour of professional cycling. 

Dan is also a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Sonographer, Independent Prescriber, and guided injection therapist (interventional radiographer) working one day a week within an NHS Radiology clinic and an active part of the Multidisciplinary Team for Ultrasound constantly working on his expertise in Ultrasound diagnostics. Dan provides highly specialist ultrasound examinations as part of his Physiotherapy + Diagnostic Ultrasound service. 

Dan stays active and competes in Triathlons and has completed multiple Ironman events and Ironman 70.3 events directly transferring his skill set to his own performance. He has also completed NXTRI events becoming one of only 273 people in the world to win the blue T-shirt at ‘Celtman’. He has also gained 1st place and set course records for the South West Three peaks Yacht race – he is currently training for Norseman 2023 and Alpe D’Huez Triathlon. 

As part of his time on the UCI World Tour, Dan qualified as a clinical bike fitter through the International Bike Fitting Institute (IBFI).
